Observation Mission to Tunisia

Report from the Appeal Trial of Mr. Khemais Ksila (1998). Mr. Hans Kjellund, a Danish lawyer, and Mr. Mohamed Anik, a lawyer from Casablanca, was mandated by the EMHRN to carry out an observation mission to Tunis at the occasion of the appeal trial of Mr. Khemaïs Ksila, Vice-President of the Tunisian Human Rights League (LTDH). The mandate of their mission was to (1) attend the appeal trial of Mr. Khemaïs Ksila, (2) get information on the situation of the LTDH, (3) get information on the situation of Mrs. Radhia Nassraoui and (4) meet with Mr. Abdallah Kallel, Minister of Justice.
Apart from Mr. Kjellund and Mr. Anik, other international observers mandated by Amnesty International and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) attended the trial of Mr. Ksila.
