I was, between 1982 and 1994, general secretary and/or Vice-President of the FIDH, of the LTDH (Tunisia) from the Arab Institute of Human Rights and from the International Service of Human Rights (Geneva).
For 12 years now, I have been an international consultant about the promotion and protection of human rights and about the support to good governance programmes.
Winner of the "du Prix International de la Commission Nationale Consultative Française des Droits de l'Homme" (1990) and of the "Prix International des Droits de l'Homme de la ville de Nuremberg" (Allemagne), I have been working, since my return in Tunisia in 2004, the Bureau d'Etudes Méditérranée Afrique Europe (BEMAFE-Sindbad), which gives consultancies, advices and does some research about the Institutional Social and Human Development.
