Mission of Solidarity with Palestinian and Israeli members

Paris-Copenhagen,

 The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) are sending a mission to Israel, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip to express their solidarity with Israeli and Palestinian members. The mission will inquire into the current situation, on the one hand focusing on the one-month long war between the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and Hezbollah; and on the other, looking closer at the ongoing Israeli military operations in the Palestinian Territories, with special attention to the situation in the Gaza Strip.

 The mission will leave for Israel and the Palestinian Territories on 29 August and return on 2 September. The mission will meet with key civil society actors.

 The mission is composed of:
