Two police officers from the Maaleh Adumim police station were arrested today (Tuesday) on suspicion of severely ill treating a Palestinian detainee suspected of throwing explosives.
According to the Police Investigations Department, the two urinated on the detainee while he was awaiting interrogation at the station, tied a cord to his ear and pulled it, pressed a coin into his eye, and inserted an iron rod into his anus. The court placed the two officers under house arrest for 5 days. Additional officers are being questioned on suspicion that they knew about these deeds but did not report them.
